Windows Vista Aero Cursors on XP or Other Systems

vista-cursor.jpg

After Windows XP, Vista with new looks and interfaces came out. Many would love its new layout but hate the fact that the system requirement is a bit high with lack of certain functions. So what do we do? We can simply use Windows XP with new looks!

Install:
——–
- Extract the archive to a temporary folder.
- Right click the “Install.inf” file and click on “Install”
- Choose the cursorset in the control panel mouse applet
It appears as “Aero Cursors (Alphablended)”

Troubleshooting:
—————-
When the shadow on the cursors look bad (which can happen on
some systems) you should turn 2D hardware acceleration a nod down.
You can do that this way:
- Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot
- Set “Hardware Acceleration” one nod down

I guess you can say that they’re images, but they’re actual icons that you can use. Why don’t you give it a try, I like it in my opinion.
