Keep Wordpress Safe from Brute Force Hackers

login-lockdown.jpg

There must be hundreds of ways to hack or find someone’s login information, and one of them would include Brute Force. It’s done by means of continuous trial plugging in every possible information.

As Wordpress became one of the most popular tool that many webmasters use, it is obvious that some people attempt to exploit through another’s account.

In order to prevent such attempt, a Wordpress Plugin called Login LockDown has been released to ensure higher security.

By default, it would prevent login retry for five minutes and disable the access for an hour when failed three times. But of course, the settings can be changed under Options.

You wouldn’t want some random person messing around with your site would you?

That could lead to DOS attacks though which can be just as destructive.

Chris, true that.

If hackers were determined to hack something, they would do whatever it takes, but it doesn’t hurt to use the plugin for heck of it.
