As many people have been impressed with Asus’ CULV laptops that they’ve been releasing, the UL30VT-A1 Silver model is finally available for pre-order for $849. The black model UL30VT-X1 has been out for a while for $799, yet many people have been waiting for the silver model.

What’s better about the silver one? It has 2 year warranty instead of 1 year along with larger battery life of 5600mAh compared to X1’s 4400mAh.
Also, it will be less of a fingerprint-magnet. From many reviews that I’ve read about the black model, many people emphasized how much fingerprints can get on it helplessly so hopefully the silver one isn’t too bad.
Also, according to the ASUS on one of the amazon discussion, it says “The good news is Amazon should be able to start shipping the UL30VT-A1 by 1/11/10, maybe earlier”

Pretty misinformed, it comes with a larger battery an also comes with a year extra warranty. All for only $50 extra.
